What Is CHAS?

CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) is one of the UK’s leading accreditation bodies for contractors and suppliers. It exists to help businesses demonstrate their compliance with health and safety legislation and other key risk areas.

CHAS accreditation is available at several levels, with CHAS Elite being the most comprehensive. To achieve this, organisations must show they meet recognised standards across a range of areas:

• EXC 2 to EN 1090 for structural steel fabrication
• BS EN 45001 for occupational health and safety
• CHAS, SSIP and Considerate Constructor Scheme standards
• BS EN 45001 for occupational health and safety
• CHAS, SSIP and Considerate Constructor Scheme standards
